After the 360 blew up, I started ordering parts and decided to make the dream of a hemi in the Fury a reality. I didn't know at the time the long road ahead and how much money all of it would cost.

Putting in the T5 in was a lot harder than it should have been. Honestly.. with the cost of the Quick time bell housing and other components, it would have been cheaper to buy a used 6speed out of a challenger. Oh well, you live you learn. Converting the old Fury from auto to manual was surprisingly easy! I used old parts lying around and cut the huge stock brake pedal to use for the clutch pedal! haha

Haha, Thanks guys! Yeah, the dash isn't perfect but it's scrap stainless that I had. I'm still waiting on the cable throttle body. I was just informed its on back order till the 3rd of December. So I'll just be doing small things until then.

My 68 also has a 904 and it is most definitely original. 904's were standard on the 6's and 318's, with 727's optional for towing applications. 383's and up had the 727's standard. I think there's some liturature on it somewhere.
I'll be interested to see how this build goes, have thought about doing something similar with the running gear from a magnum or newer chrysler 300.
My '68 VIP has a 318 and a 727 without a towing package. I seem to recall that from some point during or after April 1968, the 318 powered Furys all got 904s. I'd have to decode my data tag to be certain, but I'm pretty sure based on some other things I found in the car that had dates, that my VIP is a late '67 build.

I got my scarebird disk brake conversion brackets in today! I also ordered some drilled and slotted rotors for a 1970 Ford ltd that are supposed to work with the kit. I'm finally going to get rid of the ol drum brakes in the front!

After almost a month of back and forth with BBK, I finally got my throttle body. They didn't have the 90mm in Stock like they had said originally. After some discussion on how long it would take for them to get me the 90mm I ordered (changing from a month out... To later two months out) I settled on the 85mm. I got the 2003 dodge Durango 4.7 tps and iac from the junk yard but when I tried to install the stock pigtails into the new sensors they didn't fit (even though the sales rep said it would plug and play). I called the company and they were no help, I was basically told to look for a wiring diagram for the 03 dodge Durango. Let's just say I'm more than disappointed.
