Hello to my fellow C-body Dry Dock members!
I haven't been very active on the board the last 5 years or so, after I sold my last C-body. However, in a few weeks I will be taking delivery of a 1970 Plymouth Suburban 6-seat big block vessel
It is originally F4 green, 383-2 and with a build date of 806 she's one of the first for 1970 model year! Also, there is a strange code on the fender tag next to the upper body color (third line from the bottom). The code says '65' and the next code is 'B51', which leads me to believe that the '65' should have been an A-code. But A65 does not seem to denote anything for a C-body, as far as the interweb is concerned.
Any thoughts on this?
Also, are there any discussions to be found when I use the 'Search' function regarding converting a fuselage C-body to a manual transmission and which parts are easiest to adapt? I know there were some /6 3spd made, but that is probably the only part that will bolt right in... I am not new to this type of conversion as I did one on my 64 Dodge 440 wagon, but those parts were a bit easier to come by:)

congrats on the 70 wagon; i just picked up a 71 440 2 seat custom suburban last month. im assuming you are going to do a manual floor shift conversion; we did a 4 spd conversion to a 70 fury convert. i will look for the name of the guy we got a repro manual shift trans hump from and let you know if you need one.

Hello Mark,
Thanks for the info! Do you perhaps have any info on the other parts used? Did you deviate from the 69-72 pedal box and used something else? I have some Z-bars, rods etc I can use or I make my own, no problem. The pedal may be the hardest thing to fab up if no factory pedal box is available.
