Hi guys, my next project for the Dodge is the fabbing some subframe connectors, however I have a question, do I need to keep the full weight of the vehicle on all four tires? I heard from a couple people that I have to, which makes sense, but I've never done them before, I also recall reading a mopar article where it said to jack up the car at the back of the front frame until the front tires are off the ground. I ask because I have some pretty significant unibody sag, so to me welding them in with full weight on the tires would be a waste of time, however one of my friends suggested that I jack up the middle of the car just enough to get the sag out, makes sense. I noticed that a few of you have them in your cars so I'm going to you guys.

I welded mine in with the front of the car on ramps and the rear axle on jackstands (which is the same as having the back wheels on the ground) so the car was sitting level.
If your doors open and close properly and your panel gaps are good when the car is sitting level on the ground, then I'd say that's the best way to weld in the connectors.
Thanks, keeping the cars weight on all fours sounds like way more sense, but yeah the sag is bad enough to the point that it interferes with the front doors, and the gaps are off, so I'm going to jack it up in the middle just enough to rid me of the gap, but not enough to remove weight fro the tires, and I'm going to bolt them in initially
