1968 New Yorker 2 door. Passenger side windows work. Drivers side don't.
When I press the corresponding switch down I can hear a faint click in the door and in the rear. Is that indicative of the switch being good and the motor bad?
What is interchangeable? Front and rear motors the same? Left and right side? B body motors? I heard all the motors were the same for many years but can not confirm. Plenty of B body motors on Ebay if I have to go that route.

Don't even bother with used. Order the motors from summit racing new from Dorman. 742-300. 742-301. Double check which is for left side and right... just put em in my town and country. They fly!

Be very careful, the lift mechanism is preloaded with a big spring and it will unwind when you pull the motor. Use lots of clamps to make sure nothing can move before you move the motor.

I've got the window to move up and down because I took some bolts out of the door. I still can't figure out how the motor comes off. I just read this spring comment so now I don't want to go any further. Is there a how to some where on this?
