I own a 69 LeBaron Coupe. I agree that they are bad ass looking. The advertisement in the paper that I replied to when I bought my car just said 69 Chrysler $900. That was back when people used to sell cars in newspapers and the shorter the add the cheaper it was. Note that was only 2003. The guy had the car in a barn and as I walked into the barn I saw the menacing front end of the car appear out of the gloom. I had no idea what I was looking at never having seen one before. The car had rust around the front windshield and rust at the back below the rear glass on the valance behind the fiberglass rear window insert. This was not very obvious when I bought the car due to the vinyl roof. Other than that the body, engine (rebuilt) and interior were in great shape. The car was triple green (roof, paint, interior). I replaced the green vinyl roof with a white one after all of the rust was fixed. I am seriously thinking about painting the car satin black at some point. I know what the purists think about things like that but a paint job is not a one way street and that would make it look even meaner.
These cars are pretty rare with about 4300 made 46-47 years ago and many fewer remaining. I have never seen another 69 LeBaron in person.
I wish you luck selling your car and associated parts. They are amazing cars but it will not be an easy sell. Hopefully it will be back on the road at some time in the future.
