I purchased the car 21 years ago with the original 318 cu.in. It was almost perfect at that time except for a couple supermarket dings & scratches. A guy purchased the car out of SC. with dreams of building it, but it just sat in his garage. He bought a new Mustang & realized he was not going to do anything with it & put it up for sale. I bought it & drove the car during the 7 years it took me to get it done. I would have some work done on it then drive it a year or so. After I saved a little more money I would have something else done, then drive it another year, & so on till how you see it now. I had no intensions to re-sell it till now, & only because we are moving. I have the original manual with original owners name from Greenville, SC. I am not a mechanic or a "car builder" so everything done on this car was done by professionals. My idea was to have a nice car that looked fast, sounded fast & smoke the tires. The 3" exhaust with Flow Masters has a nice sound to it. I'm not interested in winning any races. I just wanted a toy to play with on the street. I have driven it to shows as far as 80 mile, 1 way, from home and it cruises great. The roll cage was designed with access to the back seat so it would be a fun family street machine, not just a 2 person car. For a pro-street car, this car is very practical. The stock gas tank remains under the car so the trunk can be used for chairs, cooler, etc. This car along with all my cars & trucks have been maintained by the same mechanics since 1985. I have pictures of the car during the tubbing & through the paint process at which time the car was stripped down to bare metal. The color is the factory powder blue. I have an insulated heated garage at home for winter storage. This car is a fun driver & very dependable. Call Ray at show contact info with any questions. More pictures upon request. Names of professionals who worked on the car can be provided.
