Hi,
I´m in process of installation of new upholstery for 69 Polara convertible and noticed, there is maybe required service action for the tubes with the oil? which runs the top up and down. There is visible air in the tubes. Shall I add the fluid to the system and get the air out? I have not run the car since last year and never touched the system before, except complete remove including the top during repairs. But still, the fluid system were still connected together.

i replaced my lines and just filled it up and it works great so maybe all you need is to top off fluid or drain and refill.cycle it a few times and see if it works.

No they self bleed when you raise and lower the roof few times.
On the end of the pump tank there is a screw plug, remove the plug and check that the fluid level is flush to threads on the bottom of the hole. When you do this the car should be level (side to side). What I don't remember is if the top should be up or down when you check the level. Since the lift cylinders are double action, it may not make a difference.

One more question. I did put the top down and up today, it works well but noticed, the air bubble move further from visible tubes to the system once start the process of getting top down or up. Air is again visible in the tubes when the moving process ends.
One lame question, as I had not time today to check. The reservoir with fluid is behind the screw on the left side top screw, or right side on the top of pump body, if you look on my picture?
