In my 70 fury, the door glass rides up and down a channel at the back of the vent glass. There are 2 plastic guides and a wax paper like material that keep the door glass from rattling in the channel at the back of the vent glass. I was able to reinstall the plastic guides when putting the door back together, but the wax paper stuff crumpled into pieces. I am not even sure what to call it, but I am afraid of shattering the door glass without it. Does anyone know what this stuff is called or where I can get it? Thanks, Ben

An update: On the window and vent channel, I looked more closely at the right side door. It does have the accordion shaped piece of weatherstrip shown in my factory shop manual, page 23-74. Looks like it's made of cardboard. There is a flat fold on either side of the glass, and 2 more circular folds that extend into the 2 up/down channels made by the felt weatherstrip on either side of the vent window channel. I need to do more research on finding or substituting for the accordion piece. It's this accordion shaped piece that is the factory way to prevent rattle. The wax paper must have been substituted for the factory piece on the left side. Deterioration of the wax paper may be the reason that my window disintegrated when I slammed the door. I have the new NOS glass in the door, but the glass and vent assembly need to be removed and reinstalled with this accordion weatherstrip. If anyone knows an expert on Mopar weatherstrip, I'd be glad to have his info. BTW, I have been corresponding with Bill on this and using his most excellent website. Still need a lead on weatherstrip. thanks, Ben

Thanks, Mike. You're the best!!!! This is the piece I need and it's not cardboard or wax paper. The RT Specialties 2932230 is $109.95 per side National Moparts is $99.95 for both sides, plastic slides included. I pulled out the visa and ordered from National Moparts. thanks again, Ben

Just to finish this thread. I did get the weatherstrip in the mail. I cut it to length. Weatherstrip is straight, no curve for glass. I sectioned out a 3/8" piece on the inside of where the glass curves, so that the weatherstrip could curve with. The weatherstrip is to the right of the vent glass channel. The raised center portion goes around the front of the glass. The wings run up and down in the squared parts of the vent channel.

One other note: there are 2 holes in the front of the glass. Plastic slides go thru the center portion of the weatherstrip and thru the two holes in the glass. The white plastic slides that came with the kit were too wide for my vent channel. They might work if you ground down the ends of the metal connecting rod, so the slides could come closer together. I had to reuse my original slides, at right in picture. Wasted an hour trying to make the kit slides, at left in picture, work. Second picture is the 2 holes in the front of the glass. Good news is no rattle at front of glass. It goes up and down smoothly and tightly. Last check, a guy on ebay had NOS 1970 Fury convertible left side door glass listed at $379 plus shipping. Ouch! If you have a vent window and this weatherstrip is missing, this kit works and is good insurance against broken glass. Thanks to Mike and his fellow Canadians at Moparts for helping me through this. You did great!
