65 is different than 66/7
Quite correct. On my '65 Chrysler, with an RPM, heat spacer, Eddy carb, and unsilenced air cleaner, I need to gain 1 1/2" to be able to close the hood!
Ive gotten a lot of mixed opinions on paper gaskets or not. I did not use them on my iron intake, but I feel like they should probably be used with the aluminum intake since theres gonna be less give to the material.
those that have, do both sets just stack up on top of the valley pan? or one beneath, one above? copper coat everything to get it tacky?
Im gonna look for the torque spec and order for aluminum intakes next. got the eddy and the gasket set in, just waiting on the mancini part and some free time...
at the shop I work at, we would jokingly say ''never gonna run again'' to this.

do a gasket on head side and manifold side of valley pan and i never coat it.rtv at corners and rails.torque it ,run it ,torque it again.i never have had a leaky one.if manifold is used ,check it with a straight edge to make sure its flat
I've not had any problems with the length of the throttle cable. Just getting the kickdown linkage right is the tough part. You'll probably need an extension on the long rod that goes from the the bellcrank to the carb. Edelbrock sells them in 1/4" and 5/16" thread sizes, part numbers 8003/8004 and the Mopar throttle adapter part number 1481

I found my throttle cable was short after switching to the tall bracket. I used a longer one that I had on hand, but had to put a different end on at the gas pedal end because it was too long.
Ill detail what I run into when I set it up. I have the mopar adapter, and when it comes to making cables of any kind work, I can usually make something happen.
I got that mancini bracket in, and I gotta say..... that is a ripoff. Im half tempted to flatten it with a hammer and make a trace and make a bunch of them myself and sell them for half the price. almost 50 bucks shipped, no shipping options, 35 bucks for a bent piece of quarter inch steel with a couple basic features. oh well.
