Any modification that requires carving up original parts and/or spacing things with stacks of washers doesn't sound like anything I'd want on my car. !cowboy
Yikes! After reading all that, the Lokar is a no brainer! It took about the same time to install the Lokar as it did to read BPE's directions, and no mods. The Lokar also looks snazzy!

The Lokar kit is nice, but never gets the ratios just right, it works great for some and bad for others. The Bouchillen's kit fixes all of that, which is why you have to modify it so much. Have you thought about a mechanical linkage? Newcombs Hemispherical products can make you a custom taylored one, that works perfect, and is adjustable like the OE. !drive
Could the ratio you speak of be attributed to the different carbs? Holley vs Edelbrock? I now have an Edelbrock Thunder AVS, everything seems to kick down exactly like I want it to. But I also have a Turbo Action Cheetah Valve Body, don't know if that makes a difference? But it is cool how it down shifts as I come to a stop.

I'd have to agree with NFURY8. I found the BPE directions poorly written and very difficult to understand. Ultimately, It gave me a headache. Although the BPE may be a better system if properly set up, The simplicity of the Lokar system says alot.
I have heard that once you get past the installation of the BPE kit, it works great and is all Mopar parts. In fact, if I struggle with my next 4 bbl. conversion I am buying one, this bs of finding the right factory kickdown linkage is just that, BS!
i have the bouchillon kit on my polara.once installed adjustments are quick and easy.it beats the hell out of a stock setup when dealing with higher than stock intakes or carb spacers.
