Well, as usual, I have plenty of work to do and I'm goingto try to get more done this Winter than I got done last Winter. The front seat is out of the Newport and at the upholstery shop getting new seat foam. At the same time, the car will also get new carpet and a repaired heater core.
Late this afternoon, a friend and I removed the timing chain and the radiator. Turns out the rad. has a pinhole which I could see a leak from now but couldn't find before. Recore here we come! The timing chain was also original and had some slack but was otherwise clean for a car with 103,000 miles. It obviously was well cared for by the original owner. The Newport gets all the Winter attention so I can focus on repainting the engine compartment and swapping them engine in the convertible in the Spring.

they used them because they weer all smoking sme sort of substance at the research and development part of chrysler. They broke down and clogged up the oiling system leading to failiure of major components.
