Thanks,

I thought there was an old thread somewhere that said the center dump manifolds won't fit a C body (hit the steering box ?) -- check before you sell that one.
I might add that the HP manifolds always make more power/ torque than the center dump manifolds. The last port in each manifold (#7 & #8) is cast separated from the rest of the log. On the passenger side this prevents the exhaust pulse from the No. 6 cylinder from partially blocking the flow from the No. 8 cylinder. This pulse separation effect is even greater on the drivers side where the No. 5 and 7 cylinders fire successively 90 degrees apart in crankshaft rotation.
Since an engine is just a big air pump, the more you get out, the more you can get in. [ Edited Fri Sep 03 2010, 06:23PM ]
From your first photo, I would have bet money on that digit being an 8!! But looking at your second photo, there's no doubt it's a 3... funny how perspective can play tricks on one, eh?

pipes won't matter much, the truck manifold is long, I'm not sure you'll have room to clear the k member with your bend. Def mock it up first before you commit to it.
Thanks for the tip, furious. It's got an older custom installation that needs to be replaced, and it's already converted from single to dual exhaust. I'm going to let a shop do the job.
