That is an example. A "good" quality torque converter will cost $400 and up! That's why you see TCI and B&M stuff at most stores/mail order. Their stuff is priced CHEAP and performs so. Ask some Mopar and other racers what they run at the next event. They will tell you, Dynamic, Turbo Action, and Coan. Turbo Action valve bodies (Cheata) are widely used and popular. Nuff said! TP

I already have a Turbo Action 11" torque converter that I was going to install in my stock tranny with the shift kit, but I have decided to just buy and install a new tranny and throw the torque converter that I already have in it. The local hot rod shop wants an insane amount of money to pull/rebuild/reinstall the stock trans, so it just makes more sense to buy a new one.

That thing shifts like gangbusters! My wintertime project will be to order a new 727 from Cope and get it all installed along with a set of 3.23s and a sure grip. I think those two mods will really wake up my Newport. I wish I had taken her to a test and tune night so I could at least have a baseline ET to compare with.
