I had a couple on my Fury in the past, still broke them.
Schumacher makes an adjustable rod setup that looks really nice, not cheap, and no C app listed on the site, but it looks like it would really be a great setup.

Rob Brogle sent me some photos of a '70 strap which I'm trying to find out if a local cable maker can fabricate. The cable is the easy part, the special cable ends and the bolt hardware is another story. Anyhow here are the photos.

I do not understand why you would not get the Schumacher "MAGNUM" mounts with the stop bolt in the center. I have one on my 66' and it is holding down a 550+ bhp big block SO FAR! Knock on wood! Tony P.

Thems the ones Bill
These are simple and I don't know who Schumacher is. Anybody got a link for him?
I also have another unique problem on the right side. I have a broken ear on the block which is a problem in reverse. I wanted to limit any stress on the makeshift deal I have on that one hole. I may have to fab something.. I really only need to protect one side.

If you look at their Tourgue Strap I bet you could fabricate somethng pretty close that looks nice. I've got one on the Dart & it's a Nice piece. Runs about 70.00 if I remember. No C-specific application so that's why I said look it over & copy the design with changes to make one that fits.
Thanks for taking care of the link Butch. Like Tony mentioned, the Shumacher Magnum motor mount would also be an excellent choice, that is what I am using. That big old 440 doesn't move anywhere! I have broke 2 of those cable style straps with a 318! I don't put much faith in them. With space at a premium, I was much happier to spring for a quality locking mount, plus I asked around and never heard of one failling, although anything is possible.

Thanks to everyone for the help. I never knew this guy.
Has lots of interesting stuff in there. But unfortunately, none of them will work. The C body frame doesn't have any flanges to bolt too. However, I could fabricate something now that I have an idea. Piece of 5/16 threaded rid and a ball eye. 2 stabilize bushings at the bottom and a bracket on the frame some place. I don't need much. . .just enough to keep the motor from pulling too much on the good ear.
