well you could put some things on relays... the main thing is the headlights. They draw a lot of current. All the current for the entire car runs through that and once you start turning things on it can start really loading it down. I have the headlights and ignition on relays. This takes most of the current from out of the car. I completly unwrapped my interior harness and checked all the wires and everything is fine. I bypassed the ammeter and have no problems. The bulkhead does get bad but a little dialectric grease does the trick. I think the wiring can handle most loads put through it but the headlights draw alot of current. Get that off the system and you wont have burnt high beam harnesses and headlight harnesses.

On my cars,I did both the bypass and wired in the guage separately. Both of my ammeter guage wires do not go through the bulkhead at all. My headlights will be wired up on relays on the BoaB when I get to that stage.
