OK, trying to make my 69 T&C have 300 style hidden headlight grille. I have a guy who has some 70 300 grille stuff. Can anyone tell me if the yokes (mounts grill ends to rad. support) and the end brackets (mounts headlight buckets to rad. support) are the same parts in 69 and 70. Also will the motor, motor mount, wiring be the same? and last, what about the turn signal/park lamps mount. Any and all help needed. MPJ
I have the headlight buckets w/doors and the center grille already.

I would suspect that the brackets and such would be the same, since the grill was basicly the same, just the styling was changed a bit.
The wiring, switch, motors and such should be the same. I have several headlight motors. I pulled them from the wreckers over the years, as well as parts cars. And they used the same motor from 68 on up into the late 80's. Just the motor would be flipped or mounted upside down.

Not sure, but I think the base plate where the headlight pods are mounted on were different on cars without hidden headlights compared to those with hidden headlights. At least there were severeal part numbers listed for Chrysler in the parts book.
Remember that yopu will not only need the grille itself but also the flat silver painted fascia that goes in between the grille and the bumper. Since the shape of the grille on 300's changed from 1969 to 1970, so did the fascia/bezel.
When putting a '69 or '70 300 grille in a non-concealed-headlights Chrysler you'll also have four parking lights/turn signals up front because the regular Chryslers had them in a hole in the lower part of the front bumper.
Headlight door motors were indeed the same, but the gear inside is not. These depend on the opening arc of the headlight doors and these again were different on Sport Furys, 300's or Imperials. They should have a different color to help identfy them. Use of the wrong gear could damage the motor.

I'm not sure that is true. I have a set of headlights that I pulled out of my 300 while it is being prepped for paint. I can check the part number if you want on one of them. But I use to think that Mother Mopar would have made the barackets all the same and made the attachements on the headlight frames to fit the common bracket, but that isn't true. The '69 300, the Newport and the NY'er all have different bacakets. Chrysler seemed happy enough to have one year only parts all over these cars ('69-'71). So, it wouldn't surprise me at all to find that the '69 to '70 are also different. Not saying that they are, just that it's a REAL possibility.
