Took my car around the neighborhood for the first time. It spins tires at 1/2 trhottle. Footbrakes to 2800 rpm before the tires give way. Really accelerates hard. It has a small lope at idle- still pretty good for the street.
It has a 496 stroker with Edelbrock performer and Edelbrock 800 cfm carb. Home ported 906 heads, headers with 3 inch pipes, TCI converter and trans kit. 3.23 rear. I should be on the track with it in the spring.
I'm useing Chrysler 300 seats from 1999. I would like to get a smaller aftermarket steering wheel also.

CONGRATULATIONS car looks superb !drive !drive !drive . Do you need the roll bar to run a certain class at the track or is it a personal safety choice.

The NHRA rulebook requires the roll bar for convertibles boing below 13.5 in the quarter mile. I also like the idea of keeping my head attached to my shoulders! It will only take a day to cut it out when I'm tired of it or need to sell the car.
The tires are 235/70/15 in the front and 275/60/15 in the back. They are both 28 inches in diameter and those are the widest that fit the rear without any modification.
I don't have a picture of the finished engine compartment, but this was pretty close to it.

sharp! but why the performer intake? 500" wants something bigger, even for a big street car! Would think a Holly street dominator would work good with that many inches and still fit under the hood.

The performer RPM would not fit- even the performer is taller than stock and I had to find a shorter air filter. I was afraid the single plane would lose me a little torque on the low rpm side. That may be my first upgrade.

I agree. I've ran Street Dominators on a few mopars and the amazing thing is,...even though it's a single plane,......it has the same manners of a dual plane. Of couse if you put a centre divider in the throat that's outlined in the mopar engine manual, that really wakes up the bottom end. Great low-end. Awesome-high end just like the performer RPM,but without clearnace problems!
