They modify & repair stock fuel sending units. I'm sending the one I bought off eBay to have them check the rehostat, I keep getting 1/2 full when I fill her up.

By the way, I got a unit for a B-Body for my Fury. I just had to tweak the end bend slightly to get it to match.

You can check the rehostat with a multimeter, just hook up the leads to the mounting "disc" of the sending unit and the external threaded post (where the fuel gauge wire was attached). Move the float up and down, the readings should be about 10 ohms for a full tank (float all the way up) and about 90 ohms for an empty tank.
Did you check the float for a pinhole leak or is there a mechanical bind in the arm not allowing the float to go all the way up?
