Well, after replacing the belts in the wife's '78 New Yorker Brougham, I fire up the 440 and the power steering pump starts howling like a mad bee-atch in heat! So, as part of the holiday weekend, I get to swap the pump from the '77 Cordoba to the New Yorker. Of course, the brackets are NOT the same, so I get to swap them, too.
It's only be driven about sixty miles this year, and there is a big Route 66 cruise coming up that we want to do in air-conditioned comfort and C-body style, so I need to get off my a$$ and get it done. For this 66 cruise, it's from Cushing to Miami, Oklahoma. There are nearly 80 miles of the original 1926 roadbed that's drivable, and nearly 200 drivable miles of original right-of-way. Lots of fun! If you haven't driven 66 yet, you need to!
