will a 70 fury III hood fit on the my 69 dodge monaco. i have access to a sport hood on a 70 fury III and it looks like they use the same fenders, and the hood looks like it will bolt right on and line up properly. i think it would give my monaco a subtle custom touch. if any one knows if it will fit i would like to hear from you. thanks, mike in k.c.

Good question, I know the 70 fury hood will fit on a 71 Fury but it won't fit a 69 Fury. The problem is the contour across the front where it meets the bumper. I think there was a tooling difference between '69 and '70 front bumpers. Assuming Dodge and Plymouth tooling more or less tracked each other, the '70 hood probably will not line up with your bumper.
Highly doubtful. As Bill mentions, the contour on the front nose is different and 68 only on the Fury. The 69 and 70 fenders look the same, but are different also. The head light area is totally different, because of the hide away head lights. I also believe the 69 Fury hood comes more to a point and the 70 is straighter across the nose. Dodge is probably similar.
The hood can be made to fit, but you have to graft the other nose on to the hood.

bummer. that would have been a nice touch. the 69 dodge hood i have is a bit plain as is. i like it, but just a tad too plain for me. i have a vision for what i want my monaco to look like. i am thinking black on black. i also am tinkering with the idea of doing the hood in a matte black treatment much like the t/a challenger/aar cuda hood, and carry it over to the fenders and split them length wise. possibly the same matte treatment in the rear somewhere, wether it be a billboard type or justa simple bumble-bee style. i kinda want to give it that 70 and up graphic look. any way, that is my vision for now. i'm still gonna give that hood another look thanks, mike in k.c.
