Hey everyone, I'm a newbie here and this is my first post. I tried the search function, didn't find what I was looking for. My pop used to own a black 71' Fury 3 Police package 4 door with the 370 horse 440. I was wondering if anyone on here had one or something like it and had some pics I could look at. I also would like to buy one someday, so are these cars getting hard to find? Thanks in advance. -Marc
cop cars are becoming very popular and are getting hard to find so they are going up in price so good luck!! I sold a 73 OHSP car about a year ago for $1800 it was a very solid car that needed a good resto and some mechanical work. !drive !drive !drive

This car is awesome! Is that a 440? it looks like it. My dad's car was definately a Fury 3 because I specifically remember the long taillights. My dad bought the car at an auction here in jersey in the late 70s. A trenton cop had supposedly owned it. It was a fury 3 police package with the 370 horse 440. He said after he took it for a testdrive he had to have it!! Sometime in the mid 80s the engine caught fire and torched the wiring harness. The firemen had used a crowbar to open the hood to extinguise the fire , messing it up. My dad purchased a wiring harness and hood from a local salvage yard, and the car sat till about 1990 in our driveway here in Browns Mills. My grandfather was looking for a toy hot rod to build so he bought the car from my dad for $100 if I recall correctly. He towed the car from browns mills to Maple Shade and had the motor all rebuilt, the 727 torqueflite gone through, the dings taken out of the body, and had it all primed out. I have a picture of it somewhere I will dig it out, scan it, and put it up. My grandfather unfortunely lost interest because after doing all of that work, the engine developed a slight knock (probably due to the fact that the backyard engine builder reused the old main bearings) and a slight oil leak. Had I been 24yrs old back then, I woulda snatched the car up as he only sold it for around $800. I was very young when this all took place, so I faintly remember this car. I always liked it though . I currently own a 96' DGGM Impala SS w/46K right now so I love big 4 door cars. By the way, who owns this car in the photos? Thanks for your reply , -Marc

!welcome to the site from the Joisey Mob!
Trenton's a haul, but we usually try to get together up here in Morris Co. Mobstaffcar (Mobby) is in Piscataway, Polaraco, mopar331 and me all reside close enough to each other in Morris Co. Polaraco might still have some 71Fury3 parts left over to sell. Maybe we'll see ya at a NJ car show somewhere!
