Hi You know I've been wondering if Anyone out there might have Info or pictures of THE SNAPPER.I was told it was a Spring Special 1969 Plymouth Fury III ( I'm going to say 2 Door Hardtop only) That came with A Turtle/Alligator Texture Vinyl Roof in Green or Brown & sported a Turtle Emblem on the C-Pillar.Everytime I find someone who states they have an Alligator texture Vinyl Roof on their 69 Fury. They say theres no Turtle Emblem, its just a 69 Fury III. I did find a lady who states her 69 Fury III is a "SNAPPER" Model says it on the title, but she never sent me pictures.YES,It was FOR SALE,I don't know if it Sold,I thnk she WANTED like $8000 for it,as she thought it was RARE.I'm basicially interested in seeing what te emblem looks like. And wondering if they came in 4 Door Models as well????? Anyone own one or have any info on this SPRING-SPECIAL????? I talked with some guy that worked at a Chrysler/Plymouth Dealership, and he said that their dealership in Ohio(he now lives here in Florida & is retired) Took The Low-Budget 69 Fury Ones & made a Unique/Special Offer to the buyer & used The Red,White & Blue Quarter emblems of The Sport Fury on these Models,He couldn't remember what they called these particuliar Furies though. But said they SOLD a Lot of them.As much as I like my Low-Budget Slant/6 69 Fury I 2 Door Coupe,I sometimes wish it was Unique( I'd like to add a Vinyl Top & even a Power Sun-Roof)And,I'm still looking for a set of Front & Rear Vinyl/Rubber Floor Covering with padding for this car,as well as for my 69 Fury III 4-Dr Hardtop.Would like to get something from an Old Police Car or Taxi-Cab in 1969 thru 1973 C-Body? Anyone? Sorry Those Re-pros don't fit without cutting & trimming.Let me know? You All Take Care Paul-SUPERCAR-Amato....SpaceCoast,Florida
Hey Paul! I have heard of Snappers, but never seen one of any documentation on them. My theory was it might have been one of the dealer packages. Do you have any documentation to show it was a factory package?
As for Unique, that Fury I /6 coupe is rather unique anymore.

Hmmm.... this is really strange to me - they built a car with an extended roofline just to satisfy the Snapper package? I can see the emblems, cause they're easy to make, but extended rooflines?

It probably was a formal roofed coupe....that would be the extra room to stretch out and lean back vs. the standard roofline with it's leaned in rear glass and thinner rear pillars.

Nice find Glen! Hard to tell anything from the stylized drawing. Even though it doesn't look like it, the formal roof line would make the most sense. And look darn "Snappy" in the Groovy Turtle Shell Vinyl Top!
A lot like the superbird roof from 1970, couldn't get one without a vinyl top. The roof modification was so rough and rushed thru but with the textured top the shotty bodywork was hidden...
