Always found a slight smear of Vasoline eliminates corrosion on electrical connections. Keep in mind shrink wrap is great stuff, but not water tight. Maybe a bit over engineered, but I will solder, grease and then shrink wrap. I use solderless connections too. Same thing. Crimp, grease, shrink wrap. NEVER have t go back.

Here is some pics of the parts of the kit..
At the coil were these neat connectors that had the Mallory M on them.. you don't have to cut the factory wiring.. I pulled one up for the pic just so you could see a different view..
This is the jumper that can be put at the connection at the box.. If the box dies I can go back to factory in 5 seconds..

Jason That is a cool idea!!! I usually use insulated spade connectors programed to over ride something like that. But WOW! That' blows my way away. You did a nice job on that install too.
After thought on the second look. . . . Red 361 Engine. Interesting. I've only seen them in Silver, Black and Blue. [ Edited Sat Mar 18 2006, 01:00PM ]

Thanks... all of that came in that $29.00 Mallory Kit I got on Ebay... he still has a few of them.. I would recommended it to anyone... just search for Mallory Ignition..
The 361 got remanned by Chrysler and I think my step father ( who owned it at that time) liked the red better than the turqoise ... at least I think that is the color it was originally?... I prefer the Hemi Orange.. but the red has a nice retro look too..

Well I've had the ignition has been on for a few weeks, and I can say that it helped a ton!... The car starts and idles better and is way smooth going down the road.. I don't know if it helped mileage ( I haven't fixed the gas gauge yet), but I would hesitate to put another one on a points car... not back for less than $50.00...off of Ebay..
Now we'll see if it stands the test of the summer cruise season..
