Feel free to post my times and delelte this post if you want...
That 65 300 vert must need some timing or something, cause even my 72 NY coupe beat its time.
In the cool October air of 2003, I went to the Atlanta dragway and did a best of 17.35 sec @ 78.9 mph. The same night I also cut a 17.4 @ 80mph, whichever you prefer.
Gregg 1972 NY coupe, 4520 lbs, 50,000 mile 440 with Edelbrock 1406, 2.71 gears.
Also my 73 Imperial did a best of 17.78 @ 76.53 mph. 1/8 was 11.3 @ 61.11 mph
37* weather last November 4th. Also did a 17.9 @ 77.22 mph a month before.

Little update as far as this season goes. As usual, we didn't get the car ready for the seasons first race, almost completely rebuilt the chassis and went through the trans and engine. The car is now considerably lighter than it was weighing only 3440 lbs. In the first race we run with less boost than last year, and didn't get the car off the line too quickly, still was Q1 and won the race with a best of 8.61/165 mph. Now it's the second race, and with new set up in the four link the 60 ft seems to be right, 1.32 and 1/4 mile 8.22! I believe it's about the worlds quickest pump gas C-body. [ Edited Thu Jul 03 2008, 03:57AM ]
