Just wondering what experiences you had, I know you've had it sent back to em atleast once...
What was the specs, steel stator? How was the customer service...looking at getting once built for me, but it seems like they had some trouble setting yours up...
The Moparts guys are giving em good reviews but I'm a litte gunshy, I really don't want to be pulling that thing out 2 or 3 times to get it right.

Kenny's at least an honest guy & you can talk directly with him. My buddy had one of his 4K converters in his Belvvedere when bracket racing & it performed good. Traded it back in for a street 9 1/2"'s for the street & it felt awful loose, not like a 3K or so should. Kenny had him send it back & then called him as soon as it got there......asked if the car moved any at all? Seems someone had forgot to braze the fins at all! Works fine now, stall just about right for the street.
At least he was honest with him & got it right back, things happen. I had 'em put the 7/16" lugs on my 10 3/4 factory & it fit fine. I'd try 'em if I decide to change. Every place makes mistakes, it's how they handle 'em.

Hello Dana, yeah I wasn't happy when I had to pull the first one back out and send it back in.But,like Butch said, everyboby makes mistakes, and their service was excellent. So,yes I would buy from them again.Matter of fact my engine is coming out soon and I'll probably send them the converter and ask for more stall.I think there will be a couple tenths in the 60' times to be had with the new heads going on.

I had Kenny build a 19-spline TC for the early trans in my '880. I'm not sure how I do it, but I keep breaking the darn things and/or they don't stall where they are supposed to. First one lasted 5k miles then blew all apart inside, next one stall 500rpm low - sent it back to get loosened and still wasn't where they said it would be or where I'd like it. But, they were always willing to help me out to get the problem rectified and I finally have one that at least works consistently, even if it took 3 or 4 times to get one that might not be what it should, but hey, it works now.

I wanted ot have a good quality converter, and ordered a stell stator PTC shrough one PTC dealer. When I got it, I was a bit surprised, because teh cost was only half of what it should have been. Turned out, that PTC thought that I would do just fine with a regular stator. The converter worked very well, just the way I hoped. I had made inquieries to many manufacturers, and many of them told that they could not build a converter for my application. The PTC worked, for almost two years, after which the stator broke. I guess they should have sold me the steel stator converter after all. Anyway, I would and maybe will buy another one from them. [ Edited Mon Jan 16 2006, 05:00AM ]

Only picked 0.4 seconds and 5 mph switching the custom Dynamic to an ATI. It's not a question of who makes it, most of them CAN build a good converter, but how it works in your application. The Coan I tried performed the same as the Dynamic, I tried five different converters in that car, and the ATI worked clearly the best in that application. There is two things in a converter, first how it is set up for your application, and second how good quality parts are used. The second part seems to show in the price. Not all combos need the better parts, they will never notice the difference, but some do and need them.

It's really a matter of the "long haul" for what I'm speaking! Yes, anyone can make a converter stall anywhere. Quality is the key! How long will it last thru repettive beatings? TA and DYN are KNOWN for their race/strip quality. Coan is a good one as well....but more costly than the others. Never heard much about ATI other than quality dampners for the cranks. Turbo Action's quality for Mopar trans and converters is world renound for decades! Dynamic is a tad newer to the scene, but proving itself daily! Coan's race quality is well known, but prices are up there! Tony P.
