I'm looking for to get a new wire harness for everything under the hood on a 1970 Sport Fury GT. I see that Painless offers a kit for Charger/Roadrunner, but it doesn't mention our big cars so I'm guessing that it's not compatible.

Dang! Bill (Fury440)is in Hawaii. He should know.Hope he chimes in... BTW, !welcome !welcome !welcome You've come to the right place. We are a happy lot here. The B body harness I would not recommend using. Some wires are of a different length although Ma used the same colors, bulkheads and schemes from car to car. Older C's (up to 69??) and A's up to '76 used the same bulkhead.B and E shared the same bulkhead, too. I'm not too sure, though. Hopefully somebody will chime in. [ Edited Wed Dec 27 2006, 09:55PM ]
How is the condition of your current one? There are a couple places that can reproduce them if yours is intact enough to make a pattern from. I have spoke to a couple and they said all they needed was a good one to reproduce and they would add them to their catalog.

Thanks for the replies.
My wire harness seems to be in decent condition. If there was one availible I'd like to install it just to keep the gremlins at bay. If there are people out there willing to reproduce one from an example maybe someone should provide one out of a junker.
Thanks for the welcome too. I used to be a member on the old site and I've been lurking here for a while now. The C-body community has never failed to provide help!

Russ,if it is in good condition, use it.Just do some popular upgrades we all have been using to prevent any future problems. My example is my car sat since 1974.I did the MAD conversion, did the Mopar Muscle wiring tricks, bypassed the bulkhead main feed terminals for the ALT guage, and wire them directly with fusible links. No problems-heck I did it to three other cars. The extra wiring can be integrated and hidden into the existing harness. Make sure the bulkhead is in good shape and CLEAN! If you need any extra info,PM or E-mail me.I am more than happy to help. There are many other members who did the wiring mods with no major problems..
