I am looking for advice on speaker replacement for my FQ3 1970 Polara 'vert. Regina has the R22 radio/cassette option.
Her dash pad is in very poor condition, but thanks to @71Polara383 I was able to score a pad from a non-AC cop car. That pad was redone by Just Dashes years ago for a project in the Southwest that was later abandoned. I want to take the opportunity to replace the speakers and make sure the radio works properly.
--> @Polara71, what brand/model(s) did you choose for Missouri dash speakers? Did you take pics that you could share? --> anyone else has recommendations, I am wide open for suggestions.

M, I'm certain the rear center is 6 x 9 and the front center is 4 x 10.
I do not recall any of the speakers I used when I had the radio upgraded. I did use new outboard dash speakers and two under the rear seat speakers so I had some front and rear sound. Sound quality is average at best.

By the way, if you install a replacement speaker in the rear seat be certain it is of factory size. I had the top replaced on my 69 sport fury and there was a big ol 6 x 9 speaker in there. First time I put the top down the rear window shattered. The magnet was too large . Just a thought ...
Thank you for confirming the 4x10 dimension. I need not only new speakers but also the radios redone on both Regina (L-code FQ3, R22 AM/8-track) and Snow White (N-code EW1, R35 AM/FM), so I will keep everything in one place and go with S&M Electro-Tech for the refurb and the new speakers:
My plan is to go with the bigger ("universal") 4x10 oval center speaker, rather than the slimline 4x10 oval, for better sound. And of course a pair of 3.5" round side speakers.
PS: Neither car has the R31 rear speaker option, so that is one less thing to worry about.

The front center is 4x10, rear 6x9 and if you have the three speaker dash those are 3-1/2 I'm not utilizing the factory radio at all, it will be there but not used, I flat out don't listen to broadcast radio. I have new 3-1/2" for the front and fitted two 4" in the center 6x9 There will be an amp mounted in the 4x10 space and connected with Bluetooth.

Missouri has the original radio / 8 track R22 . I had the conversion done which contains 40 watts per channel x 4 along with Bluetooth and a USB to attach a device to for music or charge a device .
If you are utilizing the center 4 x 10 there is a adapter / modified center available with 2 smaller speakers as Alan suggested in his 6 x 9. You lose some base but it will balance the sound better.
FWIW I still have an original factory 4X10 in the dash of Nessie that crackles a bit but to me it kind of enhances the time machine effect when I'm listening to the local oldies top 40 station. I've had a new replacement 4X10 sitting in a box somewhere for years.
