I am in the slow process of building a 440 engine for my 1967 Polara convertible. The car currently has a 383 in it. The engine will be close to stock with some improvements. Instead of using factory connecting rods, I purchased a set of the 440 source OEM replacement connecting rods. Out of general interest I wanted measure the weight of these connecting rods:

You are lucky. My experience was I had 1 rod that was much lighter than the rest.440 source would not swap out a single rod. They would gladly swap for another set of 8 but would not guarantee that they would be correct. They do not weigh them and over in Chine the quality control must be poor.My machinist came up with a clever solution, however all the rods had to be sized for bearing fit.Total waste of money and time.I will never buy anything from them again. On top of that the guy was a bit of a prick on the phone.
