Hey guys, long time no type! Been out of the game for a loooong time. You know how it is, divorce and things getting in the way. Luckily, I still have my cars! Still rebuilding my life so nothing is happening soon but I'm trying to get my game plan on.
Anyway, I bought a '68 Barracuda that came with a new Strange S60, Power Lok, and 3.73 gears. Well, I think the Dana is a little overkill for the 318 in the car so I plan to swap it out with an 8.75 or maybe even a 9.25. So, I want to use the Dana in my '65 Sport Fury. My Sport Fury will have the springs moved in to the frame rails as it will end up more of a pro street cruiser/show car and an occasional drag car. Looking to squeeze some 18.5" wide tires underneath it for the look and better traction.
Questions... is the A-body Dana already too short to be able to shorten it for the Fury? Could I keep the stock A-body length and find some rims with the proper backspacing without having to go custom? Any ideas on this would be appreciated.
