I have been off the Dry Dock for over a year getting a new business going but am helping my 18 year old son get my first C-Body back on the road. It is a bone stock '68 Newport with a 383 2bbl and a 22" radiator. The radiator is shot an I am looking for a used one in serviceable condition but also found this on line. Has anyone used one and can you give me any feed back. I know putting a 26" will give better cooling but I have never had an issue with this stock C-Body and want to replace with as little modification as possible. https://www.speedcooling.com/22-Mopar-BIG-BLOCK-HD-Aluminum-Radiator.html?keep_https=yes OR https://www.speedcooling.com/1963-1969-Mopar-22-Radiator.html
I have a 22 inch Champion that is cooling my 440 with no shroud. I do have an electronic fan mounted to the front on a switch if I get caught in traffic on a hot day (80+).

I am not sure of the specific radiator you purchased. I have a couple "Over The Counter" units that are a good fit. Got 'em at O'Reillys. The trans cooler line inlets were metric. There are metric to standard adapters. I have read that these inlets have poor thread engagement. Therefor, I have opted to run an after market cooler on my automatic.
Yes, auto trans and stock lines mount up. I forget what car this radiator was labeled as fitting, but I just bought one that had the hoses and mounting holes in the right spots.

Swapping out a correct 26" rad core support for a 26" rad is not that all difficult to do. Better to nut & bolt one in that cut the 22" rad core support. The 26" will be more effective with a shroud and clutch fan as well--unled going electric fans. Hope this helps.

the champions have the wrong AT fitting size, right? Lots of others have complained. I have a 26" 2 core ECP in my Fury and it cools well but it didn't fit worth a darn. Maybe it would have fit a b body, but I had hours into cutting the mount flanges to fit around the battery and new mount holes AND barely got my shroud to fit it. But the AT fittings screwed right in! LOL To do over I'll buy brass fittings for a champion...

I have a 22 inch Champion in my '68 VIP. The hoses lined up right for my 318 but only some of the mounting holes were right. I suspect it was listed for my car mainly on the hose attachment locations. Also discovered those transmission line fittings were brazed in and are to be handled with extreme caution as one of mine stripped out so easily it was alarming. My factory shroud had no chance of fitting because of the shape of the tank. I improvised a shroud from sheet metal I had lying around. It does a good job cooling in spite of the fact that my clutch on the fan may be in need of replacement.
Previously, I had a 26 inch Spectra Premium that the all of the online parts lists say fits my 318 car, but they're all really for big blocks. It too, did a great job cooling but it had hose fitment issues especially routing the upper hose around my air conditioner compressor. It could have used hose adapters to have improved the fit at the tank, and recently, I came across some at Amazon that may do the trick. Feel tempted to put this one back in the car. If the budget gods would smile upon me, I'd get a reproduction 22 from Glen Ray and call it good.
