yup stayed at a 17 vs any bigger and moved up slightly to just short of 29" to keep a good look. had slots and draglites for 20yrs, was time for something different and these rims will work/look good on my 68 charger or 72 RR
I have 255/50-17 up front and 275/50-17 in the back. I would prefer 235 up front, as the 255 can make tracking a little awkward on roads with deep ruts. However, Nitto didn't have a 235/55 available at the time. The 235/55 is also just a hair taller, which wouldn't hurt either. My front rides a little lower than ideal, but raising much more makes the tires look a bit lost. Those big openings sure look better when they are full!

these are Atturo Tires - AZ800 tires. Offshore of course but SRT8 Jeep owners had some good things to say about them. The fronts are actually visibily narrower than the 235/70's on 7" rims I had, that's curious to me.
