Anybody here try the Eaton Torsen differential yet? I mite be able to scrape up enuf $ to buy this and want to no how much uv a hassle its going to be to install.

I blew one of them apart. Just go with a detroit, its barely noticable on the street and bullet proof. It would have been way cheaper if I would have started with a detroit.
Thats interesting. I wuz under the impression that it wuz mekanicly impossibl for a Torsen dif to allow any slip.
But now I'm thinking its really a matter uv friction. A worm gear can turn the worm screw if the friction iz low enuf & the fors hi enuf. You can even make a nut spin on a screw by pushing it axially if the friction iz low enuf.
Did you hav the manufacturer'z spesified oil in it?

It does not really have a specific lube requirement like a clutch style rear-end. But i was using high quality GL5 lubricant. Randys, did tell me they had seen some failures (which was different when I called them to order) When i RMA'd it to them the guy i spoke to said that people say they are as strong as a detroit, but he did not feel that was true.
