I purchased a pair of mopars today, ive owned/parted out several hundred 65-78 c-bodys, but we had a wind storm a couple weeks ago, an until the trees blew down, I never knew about this pair literally 10 minutes from my house...But curious how rare a 78 fury 2dr with actual 318 w/3spd on the column is? I was brushing all the crap out of it, an noticed a 3rd pedal (clutch) an was definetly surprised, from the research I did, the 3 spd stopped production in 77, guy said he had to argue with the dealer to get this back in 78...regardless, ive never seen one in my life an wouldn't have believed it till couple hrs ago when I bought them...other is a volare/aspen with bench seat 4spd on the floor...unfortunately both cars are shot, but mine now...

The 1978 Plymouth Fury was a B body, not a C body, and had the manual transmission as standard equipment.
The last C body with a manual transmission, column shift, was 1973.
The B body Plymouth became the Fury for 1975 and the C body Gran Fury. The last year for the C body Gran Fury was 1977 - no C body Plymouths or Dodges in 1978.

thanks for the correction, I kinda always referred to all furys/monacos that body style to c-bodys...ive parted out literally 100's of these things before "don't get mad" I wrecked them, but in all the years an cars ive come across ive never sen one with a manual tranny...unfortunately even with the original window sticker and paperwork, this thing is even to far one to wreck! Just going to chop it up for parts so maybe someone else can use them to restore and enjoy there ride...
