Hello, I was wondering how much of a performance difference there is between the two types of manifolds. I picked up a pair of hp manifolds for the Dodge and I'm curious what kind of difference it would make. Thanks in advance
I would wager it depends on how mild/wild the engine is.I would expect the HP manifold engine to maybe rev a little quicker and higher than a log manifold one provided it can use the extra rpm.On a stock non hp mild 440 maybe 10hp. You would probably get more from converting to dual exhaust than you would from a swap to HP manifolds after dual exhaust.
These are my opinons and no way based on actual proof.
Thanks guys, I got them on and I noticed a slight difference, it's nice not having a exhaust tap too haha, it is a stock 440 magnum, with a .030 over bore, six pack pistons and back cut intake valves

Good to see. Ditto on the exhaust tap. No one likes to listen to that. I'm looking forward to getting my New Port back under it's own power. if only to be able to use the garage stall it's been hibernating in. Have a set of high perf mannies and a stock 4 bbl set up thanx to a member here. It will be way to long since I drove it to make a comparison , but I'm sure it will feel stronger to me.
