A friend of mine is building a 440HP engine to replace the tired 383 in my 66 Polara. He has some Chrysler performance exhaust manifolds (I think from a b-body car), but it looks like they may not be an easy fit. Did Chrysler ever make performance manifolds for c-body cars? Has anyone got experience of fitting HP manifolds to their c-body? Would be grateful for any advice on all this. Thanks.

Sure, they made hi-perf manifolds for C's. The pass side (which is your driver's side) is the same as a B body. The driver's side (which is your pass side) is different.
You can run the B body manifolds on both sides with a little work.
While you are wondering if you will ever locate a "C-Body" Left Exhaust Manifold think and plan to use the best of the best Exhaust System that was used by The Exhaust Manifolds that you currently have ( and are using ).
The Hi Performance 1966 440 used the same Exhaust Manifolds as all 1966 2 bbl 383's. It was what they did to The Exhaust System behind the manifolds that was different.
Hint: Do not forget "The MoPar Exhaust Pipe Tip" design that was used.

Old tread but i'm curios, what did they do to the The Exhaust System behind the manifolds that make it's a Hi Performance? I've got my hands on a pair of b-body HP manifold and didn't thought they fit on a c-body (-66 Polara 383) but after I read this and a couple of others that manage to mount them on a c-body I'm going to give it a try to modify the exhaust system to make them fit, I was most worried about the kickdown linkage that looks like it's routed where the manifold rear end of b-body manifold, I think it's gonna be tight clerance between the mainfold and the linkage. How about clearance to the steering? Does anybody have a picture with b-body mainfold on a c-body?
The Power Pac 383's of 1964 to 1966 all used MoPar's P4286675 Cam Shaft.
The heavier weighing, slower to wind and with a lower RPM - Red Line 413 or 440 used the 383 Cam Shaft ( this is a parts department fact - until the 440 ceased production ).
The same 383/ 413 or 440 all used a Exhaust Pipe that matched The Exhaust Manifold Diameter Opening and from The Muffler's Exit --- the dual Tail Pipe's are a two inch Diameter.
The very tip of all era MoPar's Tail Pipe then have The MoPar Hook.
-------------- Performance Tech Up-date
The BB or RB used Engine Vehicle will have The Same Dyno Results of Dual Exhaust if The vehicle uses NAPA's Muffler #21-400 Muffler. ***
The manifold comment by Heikki has a lot of merit.

Thanks for that information Rodger!!
maxvo2, I know that the c-body manifold would be the best solution but the problem is that I live in Sweden and the shipping cost for a cast iron manifold is about 90$ from the US + import charges and I alreade have the b-body manifold so I think I'll give it a try.
Thats why I wondering if someone have a picture of b-body manifold on a c-body or if anyone who have done it can give me some tips?

I had ebody hp manifolds on my 66 for years. It was real close to firewall pinch weld but a grinder can solve that and making the down tube can be a challenge but still can be done with a little thought and patience
