Paced out with google earth and a laser rangefinder, I got a 15.8 with a lot of wheelspin, to the point of having to let off, very hard to do aggressive launches on this road as compared to the road where I do my 1/8th mile runs, much more slippery than the latter.
Specs are as follows: 2.76 w/ Suregrip, stock 440 bored .030 over, six-pack pistons, sealed power replacement Magnum cam, 452 heads unported with back cut intake valves, factory cast iron intake, Holly 750 vacuum secondaries, log exhaust manifolds off a 383, TTi 2.5 inch dual exhaust, reman Daaco Torque converter that flashes up to 2500 Rpms, Homemade ram-Air system, 235/75/15 tires, 4400 pounds with me sitting in it (I weigh 175), I also eliminated the iso-clamp crap with cop car pieces which makes the rear of the car sit about an inch or higher than the front.
When I launched I preloaded the T/C to about 1500 RPMS, when I let off the brake I let the car roll forward for about a car length, then I punched the gas pedal, tires broke traction significally, to the point that I felt the car slow down, I let off to about half-throttle until it regained traction once more and well, that's the run I got both times I did it, traction loss with both runs.
With that much wheelspin it is hard to gauge.I would imaging 14's are doable which is very respectable with 2.76 gears and tall tires. Time for some 235/60r15 drag radials and a real track.
