With all due respect... There's running, and driving rustfree 68 Fury's out there in the 3,000 dollar range. Your car is a rolling shell with no drivetrain, and major assembly required.

Man, I'd love to get $3,000 for mine, and its got a perfectly running-like-new engine, good transmission and rebuilt rearend. A new suspension, which cost a good $3,000 by itself, and a new interior. All it needs is a paint job - and the body work that would be necessary to go with it. But, unfortunately, I don't think I'd ever get it, nor did/do I ever expect to. I did it for the love of the car and with my eyes wide open as to what I was getting into.
We are not doing this to get rich, we do it for the love of it.
At the same time you can't blame a guy when faced with a "must sell" situation for trying to recoup something.
I still maintain that anyone who is looking to do similar things to a C body would be in a very good position budget-wise if the were to use this car as a starting point.
I wish the seller good luck rather than knocking his attempt with a pointless comparison, however respectfully voiced.

I'm aware there are driver cars out there at good prices but with this one there is no surprises. Easy to make this one your own pick color insert drivetrain.

And I defy anyone to get the shell to the stage it's at under $3,000 ...
It is all relative.
With all due respect to this forum, this is a difficult place to sell a C body.
While this might be a solid shell to start with and difficult to get a rustbucket to this stage for $3000, a huge factor in project cars is that often the extra $$ spent on a better car is more economical. IE it might take another $3-4000 to get this shell to the same level as a $5000 car.
Yep, a difficult place to sell a C. We are used to getting our stuff cheap, and getting battered when we have to sell, which makes it hard to support someone else on their asking price. If we were smart, we would band together and support everyone else's prices, maybe suggest that they should be raised, and maybe we'd turn the tide a little. Probably not be enough folks here to make that happen, though...

The price is very fair for this part of the country and I've considered this car on more than one occasion. Unfortunately, I'm just a fast top guy. Best of luck with the sale.
