A rebuilt from RockAuto is your fastest, most cost effective way to go. Sometimes, they have one in stock so you can just get the rebuilt one outright and return your old unit for a refund on the core charge if you don't want to keep the old one as a spare. You might as well keep it because the core charge is less than what it will cost you to return it. Again... IF they have one in stock. They're pretty scarce.
I got this same unit from Advance Auto (online only) because they DID have one in stock when RA didn't at the time plus they price-matched RA

I think there is something wrong with the Rock Auto listing. I don't know why they show a core value if it's a "rebuild and return only". I don't think you can get one by just paying the core charge. That 13 bucks would be a real bargain because that style booster is worth $100 to $250 as a core. They use those boosters as a starting point to make the Hemi booster kits.
Secondly, the quality of A-1 Cardone's re-builds is often quite poor. Boosters, steering boxes, CV shafts, P/S pumps all have a very high premature failure rate. Many are junk right out of the box. If you have to send it out to have it done, send it to Dewey. He's a real expert on that particular style booster.

just a few months ago i installed a re-manufactured cardone booster in my 68 fury. have to say i am happy so far, it works great, and looks just like the old one did. i'll have to just keep my fingers crossed i suppose. i purchased it from rockauto. for the booster, all 3 flexible lines, and 4 new wheel cylinders it cost me about 200. cant complain about the price, but i may end up getting what i paid for...
