Paul gave the guy a call as Hayden is not far from him .... the story goes ...
$800 is for a 440 engine ...
... the Blue 300 is a 383 car, quite solid, around $2000 ... the tore down car is the NYer, no engine in car, but the best of the 3, very solid and supposedly all parts are there (well minus engine, not sure if 440 he's selling separately is out of this car), around $1000 ... the hard top is also a 383 car, Paul didn't ask many questions about it
This gentleman recently acquired all three in one deal to help someone out of a pinch and is not knowledgeable about C's. If the cars are as he describes his prices are reasonable.
Just went and looked at the two convertibles. Not sure that either would be worth saving. Lots of work.
I wanted to look at the Coupe but that one may be on its way to a derby death! It was supposed to be the nicest of the three.
Some nice stuff on the 69 300 convertible. Dual power bucket seats, console, tilt/tele steering column with the turn signal working and a pretty nice steering wheel. The engine was still in the car and looked in good condition for what this is worth.

The 300s came standard with the 440 engine, no 383 in those. Did you check the VINs on the car? Could have the coveted TNT engine options. It would be a 'U' code for the 1970 (blue one), and I believe 'L' for the 1969. IMO that blue vert with factory console is too nice to part out!
