I need a suggestion for narrow filters, with the same or closest diameter to the seal. I have a k&n on it now and it is far too wide, hitting both the lower rad hose and the oil cooler lines, and I know the fram hp1 is the same.
I had one once for the break in filter, it was a servicepro, but I dont remember the model.
I use a WIX 1515 (NAPA GOLD PN 5-1515) It is not narrow, but it doesn't touch my radiator hose or anything else. I once had a generic lower radiator hose that rubbed the filter, but if you have the correct one it has a curve built in to go over the filter.

I agree. Wix is pretty much the best out there. (It has a good drain valve.) Many filters don't. The media and build quality is better. The NAPA Gold is the same thing. I have never had an oil filter rub anything.
well its partly probably because the eagle radiator isnt 100% perfectly stock in its inlet and outlet location, and I have a NAPA fury hose on a polara (dunno if they were a hair different or not)
also, anyone got a shot of their tranny cooler line routing? mine is definitely bumping shoulders with the oil filter, I wouldnt be opposed to correcting this when I put the new trans in
