not orginally with km/h speedos. have to be changed if you want to drive the car.
Sorry to disagree, but thats not 100% correct. An mph speedo can be used legally in Sweden. All that is required is that certain speeds are marked. Quite often, thats just a few small round decals (abt. 1/4") with the numbers 5, 7, 9, and 11 on placed on the face. Having said that, I dont have these decals on mine, its just a good ol' mph speedo and the testers have never noted it.
As well, many of the cars Mopar sold were available as export cars, and Kilo speedos were in the parts books as factory available parts to meet export requirements.
I have them in all my C bodies - check out the speedo in my sig pic. It came from a wrecking yard in Finland...
If you look at the dash photos you can see that there are some in that collection w/factory kilo speedos, and some with mph speedos with the kilo points overlaid on them as mentioned above.
what i ment was that a km/h speedo doesn't always mean that the car is a export model. most, 99 % ? of all swedish 2 door forward look and c-bodies are imported after the early 70ties. and have the speedo modiefied in some way.
stickers are available.
and you are only allowed to go to the 120 mark (80 mph), swedes less. city limit is 50 (35 mph)
