Hey guys, I have a 68 sport fury I am trying to install a front sway bar on. For some reason the car did not come with a front sway bar. It appears it does not have the mounts from the factory for the sway bar to mount to the frame. I emailed Pst on help but am waiting for their reply. Do you guys have any advice on what to do? I am guessing I will have to weld on some mounts for it.... Unless I am missing something. Thanks in advance!!

I am in Springfield, I go up to see some of my buddies in Kc often though! I even asked the Pst guys if I would have the mounts since I don't have a factor sway bar and they said that all of them came from the factory with the mounts regardless. At least I'm not going crazy!! Haha, but do you guys have any measurements on where to put the mounts on the frame? The pictures help a lot, I just want to make sure I put it in the right location to avoid clearance issues.

I had to weld mounts on my 68 also. It seems pretty simple in your mind, but I remember evaluating it at the time and decided I didn't feel confident in getting a good weld on it with everything in place. I ultimately did mine when I swapped my rad support from a 22" to 26" and had the grille, rad support, etc out of the car. Much more room to work.
Edit - You have an SF, I would've thought that model to have a bar as std equipment...
It was a real pain the a.. to weld (just don't look closely at my welds) the brackets without uninstalling everything but I did it and it is possible. I think the only things I removed were the mud/rain flaps.
