I got tags on it and drove it home. It has flowmaster super 10s on it (I know I know, they were free) and they are awful. Im looking at getting some magnaflows of some sort, and welding in an H pipe. I have the roll cage coming in the mail and Ill probably put that in this upcoming weekend if it shows up in time. Im going to sound seal the floor while I have the carpet and seats out. Im doing little stuff now that its home, I need to adjust the carb, I think the floats are too low and the jets are too big, among other things. the driver side is a hair lower than the passenger so Ill probably let the passenger torsion bar down a little and see if that helps... I probably need to get an elephant to sit on the passenger rear quarter, I think that spring I put in is a little bit more sprung than the other one ha. Whatever. Tomorrow I'm fixing small coolant leaks (thermo housing needs filing and resealing, and w/p housing needs new plugs), putting new wires on it, a little Mr gasket inline fuel pressure gauge, and some weatherstrip pieces, Ive got the day off.

oh and I went google digging and found some more C Body NASCAR gold...
Damn! I don't know how I didn't find those. I have scoured NASCAR, car model, and other forums looking for info and pics on the '65 NASCAR Furys. Thanks for sharing!
started getting the cage in today. had to put the backrest in before I did the bars from the hoop to the trunk, and that wont be coming back out... gotta relocate the rear speakers and patch back up the parts I had to cut out of the deck back there. the bottom will definitely not be fitting back in, I tore up a passenger 'door' panel trying to do that. might take it to the guy that recovered them and see if he can cut it into two buckets sort of and sew it back up, so I can put it in, in two pieces, and keep the look, or I may just get some bucket bottoms somewhere and do a 2 plus 2 back half bottom thing. still need to put the door bars in, and the short bar to go from the hoop junction to the tranny/driveshaft tunnel. getting there, though. soundproofing the floor while everythings yanked out.
havent decided whether to paint, or wrap the cage. thoughts?
c body kit from rhodes race cars, 8 point. pretty decent kit for the money, and the main hoop was already cut to fit. all the tubes were notched properly and the right length, just had to cut my kickers to length and the braces from the harness bar to the driveshaft channel to length and burn it all in.
yours would be a good candidate for a pre-K&K bobby isaac 64 polara knock off, with the black steel wheels and all the body trim. darker red than mine.
