I got a 67 New Yorker coupe (I don't have picture at this moment Im sorry but I can upload if requested I its pretty rare, from what I've read 1 of 7200 produced.) Any how I need the engine rebuilt because its been in storage for close to ten years. I know this is going to be a lot of work Im also not looking to stay stock... I wan't open chamber heads as opposed to the wedge... basically I'm looking to get as much power as I can to the wheels whiles still being able to "cruise" around. Any way can anyone recommend any shops around the Chicago area, that are good with Chrysler Big Blocks or mopar engines in particular like I said this isn't a race-build but I'm open to any shops you guys can vouch for. Thanks in advance guys.

If you have the desirable 1967-only 915 casting heads, I would consider getting those rebuilt. Closed chamber heads are better; Chrysler switched to the 906 open-chamber heads for lower emissions, not more power. The 915s also have better flowing ports like the 906s, rather than the poor flowing ports of the older 516s. Your heads might have 1.6" exhaust valves installed, not the 1.74" valves used in high performance 1967 engines. If you so choose, the machine shop can open them up for the larger valves.
If you ever spend any time "getting to know" the ones who do this type of function/ work - you will soon learn they get fed up and leave for another same type of shop. This means one who was at a place last year, may no longer be there.
This applies if a person is offered higher $$$ too.
Now that you have been informed of several places that others know of --- stop by and "inter-view all of them" to see if what they show --- is what you want. Is the area clean ? Are they clean ? Do they smell as if they "had a few".
