It's been a while since I posted or even visited the site. My project has basically stalled out, but I'm hoping to breathe new life into it before the year is out.
It's been difficult to work on my '71 300 in its half of the double garage, but I may finally get to build the workshop I've been planning on for the last 6 years or so...
Before that gets rolling, I wanted to check with the fine folks here for any advice on setting up the workspace. I think I want a 4 post lift, both for working underneath it and storing another lesser-used vehicle we own. I could use some advice on brand and sizing. The shop will have 12' ceilings, and the floor will be about 28x18. Any other must-haves that I should plan ahead for?
There are two backyard buddy lifts within a mile from my house have been to both to check them out was looking to buy a lift for myself after checking them out and using one several times ordered one last week about 7 to 8 weeks to build but I can wait for the quality just my opinion Joe
4 post hoists are not really good for working on much other then exhaust or trans/eng work, where a 2 post hoist you can do basically everything and save room. I agree with the concrete..its the most important part, and depending on where you live, in floor heat is a great idea, way more economical and better heat then a furnace
