Continuing research on early sunroof production. I will add later years as time permits. If anyone wants to add any info to the project, just let me know. Thanks to imperialworld and TooManyMopars for sharing some of their info on their sunroof cars! Enjoy! Scott.

Scott, thank you for taking the time to assemble all this data.
I think 1971 only allowed sun roofs in 2-door hardtops, including Imperials. At least my 1971 price list shows the sun Roof being available only on the 2-door Imperial LeBaron.

Thanks ceebuddy!
I was wondering if anyone was going to catch that. Certainly at the beginning of the model year, the plan was to only offer it on the 2 Door Hardtop models with vinyl roof. Here is the Chrysler Sunroof press release letter:
But later in the model year (Feb 71) this Technical Service Bulletin for the Sunroof (page 1 of 12) clearly states it is for 2 Door and 4 Door Hardtop models.
Was this just a typo in the Technical Service Bulletin?
Or did they include the 4 Door reference in this TSB because they knew that the sunroof was going to be offered on 4 Door Hardtops in the 1972 model year?
Or did Chrysler expand the availability of the Sunroof on the 4 Door Hardtops sometime during the 1971 model year?
I have not run across a 1971 Imperial/NY'r/300/Newport 4 Door HT with Sunroof yet, but it does not mean they don't exist. Has anyone out there seen one????
Thanks again for everyones help and participation! Scott.
PS - If anyone has not run across this Hamtramck Historical website before - check it out - it is awesome. Barry Washington has done an outstanding job putting it together and getting all of this information out to Mopar enthusiasts!
