Anyone ever use Mr. Gasket adjustable spring shackles? I have a 66 Fury with worn out air shocks ( I know, the springs are prolly getting bad too). Wanted to swap shackles to lift rear of car, increase tire clearance, ect... and ditch the air shocks!
I had the same problem with the Fury. I took it to the local spring shop and they put a new leaf under the main and re-arched the rest. It was less than $200. 5 yrs and still sittin pretty.
You can have your leafs rearched, but be careful as even a half inch could put the car way to high in the rear above stock specs,I told a friend years ago to have his rearched and he added an inch thinking it would level his car out,,,well it looked like he would do a nonse dive when ever he hit the brakes.

I almost crashed my first '69 roadrunner because the car had long shackles on it (severe oversteer). Once I put the correct stock shackles back on it, the car handled like it should. I would stay away from shackles. My $.02
