Can anyone identify the red hood in this picture? I know its not the best of shots but did not pull the hood out completely as hard to get back in. Please let me know and yes its for sale as is all the other hoods in there.
I could be a fury or satellite possibly? It definitely is a Plymouth though right due to the hood emblem. If you study some other cars I see a difference in hood design though.
Dark blue hood is 66 300, Newport/New Yorker had the two creases down the middle much like that one.
I kind of agree with the Wiz - I think that's an erroneous Plymouth ornament on a 66 Newport hood... possibly!
Same number of letters in Chrysler and Plymouth though... I checked around for 5 minutes, and no Plymouth Fury hood I could find has that dual crease arrangment, with the lip like that.
White hood is definitely NOT 66 Monaco, as there is no center windsplit on 66 Polara/Monaco hoods, only a chrome strip that sits on top of a slightly raised area, with the Fratzog at the end. http://www.americandreamcars.com/1966dodgemonaco102510.jpg
I thought it might be 65 Polara/Monaco, but the centre windsplit is not there either, at least it doesn't go all the way down the front leading edge of the hood like the one in the picture.

Ross, I'm looking at your 66 wagon, it's hood looks a lot like the mystery hood. I never noticed before that the wagon hood is different from the two cars.
