[quote]is kinda looking like oem with half the setup in the house already...not realy in the mood to be tweaking headers that should fit to begin with..in anycase will go oem and if l wana change down the road if something decent shows up.
just need the other side now...
That is a pretty uncommon manifold--you usually see the 2863409 that fits 68-69 or the 2951218 for the 70-73 models (with the fins for the heat stove and pipe to the air cleaner). I think the one you've got is for the older 66-67 models (just a guess) because the angle of where the downpipe bolts to it looks a bit different .... If you do get TTI exhaust pipes make sure you give them the manifold numbers so you get the right ones.

The HP manifolds weren't available, at least not for C-bodies, until 1967 that I am aware of. CanCritter has a drivers side, which is the harder one to come by because it is C specific. Looks like the 67-69 variety to me. The passenger side is the same as a B-body application.
If I remember correctly, the early drivers side HPs were the same for 383 and 440 which means that different length exhaustg head pipes were used. Later they used a different casting for 440 with a longer downpipe to put it in the same position as the 383 outlet, so a common exhaust system could be shared between them. Doesn't really matter if you're getting a system bent-up to suit though.
I just checked the casting 2843247 on TTIs chart. They make a headpipe for it for RBs only.

His manifold is definately different than most of the ones normally found--probably (?) from a 67' 440--the angle of the outlet opening is way different:

Yeah, they are quite a bit different at the outlet, but doesn't matter, it's still a good flowing HP manifold-he just has to get the right downpipe made.
Check out these other variations (and my pipe dream)

Yep, that manifold should work fine, provided it's not cracked, and the exhaust shop can make the bend between the downpipe and the frame rail. Personally, I've had enough troubles with HP manifolds in both those regards that I doubt I'll ever reinstall mine on a car again. My Schumachers fit great and work with Edelbrock heads, unlike the HPs. My brother wanted to get a set of HPs, but I told him he's wasting his time, just get a set of Hedman shorties.
That reminds me....

NAPA does sell after market tube headers to any that want them.
You should have hooked-up your buddy with the 68 with a set of headers from NAPA then. I figured they could order whatever you want; my comment was sarcasm. !clown

Yeah, can't have a performance thread without Rodger advising you to change nothign except to upgrade to a viscous fan and a big Napa truck muffler. (that's not intended as personal, Rodger, but you do represent that end of the spectrum. Just a little good-natured poking is all that is...)
