I've got a '72 Imperial in need of the proper torque converter.
I have an A727 out of a '69 Polara and a 1975 440 believed to be out of a motor home.
Casting numbers are: 4006630-440-4 The date stamped on the block is 4-1-75 and the numbers stamped in front of the intake are: 5T 440 E
So..it is a 1975 block. Externally balanced?
I'm looking at a CR21 torque converter for it. Pro King part number. This TC is described as: w/cast crank, two 50 gram weights, 24 spline, 11" Diameter, 10" bolt circle, low stall, 130 tooth wide ring gear.

that is the correct torque converter for an externally balanced motor, the easiest way to tel l if the motor is externally balanced is by looking at the harmonic balancer on the front of it ...
